Spray-Applied Fire Resistive Materials (SFRMs)
Today’s fast paced construction schedules demand higher in-place physical performance characteristics. Blaze-Shield II is a commercial density (15 pcf/240 kg/m3), compositely reinforced portland cement based SFRM designed to endure construction abuse as well as exposure to extreme weather conditions (UL investigated for exterior use). High recycled content, superior durability, no pre-mixing and reduced labor costs to install make Blaze-Shield II the most cost effective SFRM in the world.
Blaze-Shield HP is designed for use where abrasion resistance due to maintenance traffic is needed. This medium density cement based product is ideal for indirect weather exposure or limited physical abuse.
Blaze-Shield is a portland cement based spray-applied fire resistive material designed to provide fire resistive ratings for structural steel and concrete in commercial construction.
Applied directly to steel beams, columns and deck, or to concrete surfaces, its outstanding value and proven fire performance make it an excellent choice for concealed commercial environments.

Thermal Performance — Insulation (R value)
The unique formulation of Cafco Blaze-Shield II makes it a very effective thermal insulator. This benefit is important in reducing heat loss, particularly when applied to the underside of a roof deck, which may allow a reduction in roof insulation.
Acoustical Performance — Noise Reduction (NRC)
As an efficient sound-absorbing material, Blaze-Shield II adds value to the fire protection application in areas where high-noise levels are anticipated.
