HEC Technologies provides factory trained and certified applicators of Gaco Western WaIIFoam insulation.
WaIIFoam is a spray-applied polyurethane foam insulation that can be applied to above grade walls, ceilings and floor assemblies. WallFoam is an excellent choice for insulating basement walls from the interior. Research has shown that insulating a finished basement from the interior offers superior comfort and energy savings with the least chance of mold growth. WaIIFoam is a superior system for metal buildings and concrete structures. Foam insulation seals air leakage at seams, reduces condensation and improves overall performance in metal buildings. (All foam products must be covered with an approved fire rated system. Basements must be dry walled. Foam applied to the interior of metal buildings must be covered with approved systems like K-13 Urek or an in tumescent coating like Flame Seal-TB.) HEC Technologies offers both of these options.
BenefitsAll insulators who apply products that tighten a structure should be well versed in Building Science. Provisions need to be made in these homes for control of increased humidity and indoor pollution. Tightening a home can also increase the chances of back drafting gas fired appliances and fireplaces. There should also be a strategy for radon mitigation. HEC Technologies can provide guidance in each of these areas
Spray applied polyurethane foam has many advantages over other insulation systems. However, there are two primary deterrents to using this product. One is high cost and the other is flammability. At HEC Technologies we try to use the product that provides the best performance for every application at the most reasonable cost. In many cases we design systems that incorporate a combination of spray-applied cellulose and spray applied polyurethane foam. This provides a system with a superior air seal, excellent fire protection and reasonable costs.
